25 June 2003
sorry for the disturbance. i had to shuffle some files on our server yesterday, which is why the site wouldn't display properly. everything should be back to normal, but you might have to refresh your browser window a couple of times to make sure the site loads completely. the blamed rehearsals for cornerstone have been going well. it's going to be a lot of fun rocking out with everyone again. if you can, stop by and say hello, either at tooth & nail day on tuesday at 11:30am or at the underground stage on thursday at 9:00pm. [11:30] 14 June 2003 it's strange how you can sometimes connect with people that you meet for the first time. sometimes it doesn't happen, but when it does it's as if you've known the person for years. being real with people and having unconditional acceptance is very important. inspiration comes in many forms. sometimes it's a conversation with someone you've just met, as explained above, or sometimes it's a warm day and a nice walk. i rediscovered a really inviting guitar tuning early this morning, thanks to a kind soul. it's refreshing to pick up the guitar these days and hopefully it will bring new songs into my head. our dear friend matt is fixing our 4 track for us. see, trevor took it apart a few years ago to "clean it" and it ended up not working when he put it back together. turns out a couple parts went bad, so hopefully once matt gets them put in, the machine will start rolling again. if i can get something going, i'll post mp3s for you to listen to. [13:54] 10 June 2003 summer. summer. summer. it's here officially, at least by my standards. the crew left for bushnell yesterday and i leave in eighteen days. cornerstone should be fun, it's always good to see old friends. speaking of friends, ester drang and sf59 are playing here in chicago in a couple days. it will be exciting. i've been going on a lot of walks lately, persuaded by the nice weather, i suppose, and my need for some form of exercise. it's nice to be able to move my limbs and breathe.
