i've never been much for dressing up, so i probably won't be enjoying tonight's festivities, at least in suggested attire.

it's odd that november is already upon us. this year is flying by.

our dear friends from snooplahoma joined us on wednesday night after their concert at the abbey pub. we spent the evening listening to various songs created with powerbooks. of note was the remix of "big trucks", which i'm told has been performed live at least once.

it was nice to see them again, as always.

the other night a bunch of us went down to wrigley field to see if the cubs could pull off a win for game 7 of the NLCS, but by the time we got there the score was 9 to 5 in favor of the marlins.

we stayed anyways, hoping that something would happen, but o'leary's homerun wasn't enough to put us ahead, so along with the thousands of other cub fans we left waveland ave. that night with our heads hung in defeat.

i had a dream last night that we played our first show. it was in chicago at some bar, which was surprisingly quite full. anyways, during the set trevor wasn't playing drums, for some reason a stranger was, and we had the vocals tracked.

i sang along anyways and managed to do so quite off key. that's most of what i remember, although i think at some point after the set, johnathon came and told us how he liked our music and wanted us to tour with him, but he felt i should work on my vocals.

dreams are weird. most times i don't remember them at all, but once in a while i'll retain bits and pieces that make no sense.

so the cubs beat the braves and have moved on to the NLCS, playing the florida marlins. game 1 is tonight at wrigley field. very exciting.

we've been going to a lot of movie preview screenings lately and it's been quite interesting doing so. some of the people that show up to these things you would never see anywhere else, so waiting in line for the movie makes for some very inriguing people watching.

if you read the papers every day you can find where, usually a record store, they're giving away passes to an upcoming movie that opens a few days later. next up: kill bill.

all right. tonight is game two and the cubs lead the series 1-0. with the cubs winning 4-2, last night's game was amazing. keep those fingers crossed.
